Recently the Simmons drums name was acquired by "Guitar centre" who have begun selling value electronic drums under their old brand name. These drums have no relation to the originals, but they are designed to look similar. They currently sell three kits: SD5K A cheap electronic kit aimed at beginners SD7PK Simmons most popular drum kit which features a better feel, more voices, and sounds than the original SD5K SD9K This is Simmons top kit which features an additional tom and cymbal to the SD5K and a more advanced interface.
