The Kids' Choice Awards is produced and broadcast each year by Nickelodeon, on Nickelodeon, to celebrate its viewers' favorites in music, film, and television from the past year. Usually, the awards show takes place on a March or April Saturday night full of celebrity appearances, musical performances, and slime stunts with kid appeal. Unlike the decreasing ratings being suffered by many awards shows, the KCA's have topped their previous years' ratings year after year since 2005.
