Watch: Kelis, ‘Scream’
The God of Thunder Thor, played by Chris Hemsworth, is featured on the cover and in the pages of the new issue of Empire magazine:
Forsooth! What light through yonder magazine breaks? It’s the Norse God of Thunder, and Kenneth Branagh is his director! Our James went on set of Marvel’s latest superhero movie to find out how Captain Kirk’s dad, Shakespeare’s biggest director and a really outlandish Avenger are getting along together. Have they kept the Shakespearean dialogue that Thor is famous for? Will he bring the thunder? And what’s this about The Destroyer?
This issue of Empire boasts an in-depth behind the scenes look at the film but, for the most part, the photos published in the mag are all pretty benign … save for one. After the jump, check out a very cool photo of Thor and his fellow God brother Loki (played by Tom Hiddleston) on set …
Oh yes, I am VERY much looking forward to the interplay between these godly brothers when Thor hits theaters next year. Even tho I kinda know how it’s all gonna play out, I can’t wait to see the Marvel Comics myth of Thor unfold on the big screen. Hammer vs. Curvy Horns. Which side are YOU rootin’ for?

At least in this case that holds true. Ricky and Jane lost a whopping 44 pounds between the two of them. Read how they lost the weight and see photos of the newly fit couple here!
Jane Fallon, Ricky Gervais’ girlfriend, was born on December 9th, 1960. From what we know Jane has been with Ricky since 1982 when the two met at the University College London. Jane has had her own successful career including producing the hit English shows Teachers, 20 Things To Do Before You’re 30 and Eastenders. In addition to television she has penned three novels that have been deemed successful.
After being warned by his doctor that he needed to change his eating habits, Gervais decided it was time to get healthy. Along for the ride was Fallon who teamed up with Ricky to lose some weight.
Now a year later, the couple have shed some weight with Ricky taking off 22 pounds and Fallon losing 18 pounds herself! Gervais told People Magazine that he was happy to finally able to get motivated and take care of himself. He said, “It wasn’t so much about the weight. It was more that I was a fat, lazy, out of shape slob, to be honest.”
So what was his dieting secrets? He explained, “I didn’t eat differently. I probably just stopped having that second meal at 11:30 at night.”
About joining her man on this weight loss journey Jane said, “I think it is because I was trying to lose weight as well. So I was cooking healthier version of what we were eating. He didn’t realize that I was probably feeding him less calories at the same time he was running.”
Good for them! Jane Fallon, Ricky Gervais’ girlfriend and her man are certainly treating themselves right!

If AC/DC aren't cranking out albums fast enough for you and Rhino Bucket don't get your engine revin,' then check out the new Airbourne album 'No Guts, No Glory.' The second disc by these Aussie/DC obsessives is a feast of sleazy, slammin' rhythms, jagged flesh-cleaving guitars and howled melodic vocals that sound like Angus-and-company on [...]
Roll over Betty Ford and tell Promises the news. A new rehab center in South Central, Pennsylvania called Clarity Way is providing its clients the use of an in-house recording studio and a music therapist. So now drug-addled artists can try to get clean and be productive at the same time.
The studio, which is equipped with Pro-Tools and other state-of-the-art gizmos, was built by Blind Melon rhythm guitarist Christopher Thorn, whose frontman Shannon Hoon died of a drug overdose in 1995. Thorn's sister is one of the co-founders of the place, which describes itself thusly: "a medically supervised premier holistic drug and alcohol rehabilitation facility... specializing in individualized treatment programs catering to clients battling all levels of substance abuse and process addictions (i.e. gambling and sex), Clarity Way is an oasis for recovery."
Maybe somebody should tell that to the guys who used to be in Oasis.

It was wild times indeed this past weekend at New York's Javits Center, where fanboys and fangirls -- many of them dressed like Chewbaccas, Predators, Princess Leias, Super Marios and N'avi warriors -- showed up in droves of thousands to geek out about comics, movies, TV and anime at New York Comic Con 2010. I was there with the rest of the MTV News crew to enjoy it in all of it's costume-clad splendor... and to interview as many actors, directors and comics masterminds as possible.
In case you found yourself occupied by football or Division Series baseball, or just simply forgot to check MTV Movies Blog this weekend (for shame), here's a little recap of what you missed and what else we've got coming down the pike from NYCC 2010.
Adrien Brody popped by to tell us about Arnold Schwarzenegger's almost-cameo in "Predators." and chatted about the potential for a "Predators" sequel.
After waxing poetic with Danny McBride about the hotness of Natalie Portman in "Your Highness," Justin Theroux shared some very good news regarding the "Zoolander 2" script he's writing with Ben Stiller (one word: Mugatu).
"Pineapple Express" director David Gordon Green revealed that a sequel could "go in a 'Scarface' direction, with Seth Rogen and James Franco getting caught up in the Miami coke scene.
"Saw 3D" star Carey Elwes revealed that Robert Zemeckis' 3-D motion-capture redo of the Beatles' "Yellow Submarine" -- in which he'll play George Harrison -- is still alive and on track to being filming in April 2011.
And that's not all. In the days to come I'll be posting stories about M. Night Shyamalan's thoughts on "Unbreakable" (and a possible sequel), scoop from the cast of "The Thing," news on the status of "Kickass 2" and much more.
What's the coolest piece of news to come out of New York Comic Con 2010 thus far? And which of the upcoming stories I teased are you most excited to read? Sound off in the comments!
